Description
This auction is for a vintage Klieglight theatre spotlight made by Kliegl Bros of New York. The spotlight itself measure about 15" in diameter and 2 feet long and comes with stand that allows is to adjust from 5' to around 8" tall. Among this lights great features are its nice wide (24" dia.) Art Deco base, solid brass cradle and slide, matte black/cast aluminum shell, and solid wood shutter adjustments. This light was originally equipped with an arc lamp (evident by the 2000 watt tag on the back) but now houses a standard floodlight and gives out a nice glow good for reading or atleast better than the 2000 watt retina burning shaft of light it created before. As you can see from the pictures overall condition is quite nice with only a couple dents to the metal casing. This light is full of machine age character and makes for one very cool one-of-a-kind floor lamp that would look great in an industrial styled apartment or loft. I mean, who else would have a 75 yeard old 2000 watt arc-light theatre spotlight as a reading lamp? You, that's who. Fire Hazard? More like the coolest floor lamp money can buy!
