Walters Stanley Tool Cat., section on Miller’s Patent planes by Walter Jacobs. This plane is complete with a very good filetser bed, wrap around fence and short fence. It has the 1 3/16 wide chip deflector first used for this plane. The handle is single pin and appears to have a very faint crack on the inside part of the handle which is hardly noticeable. The logo on the handle “Miller’s Pat. June 28, 1870” is partly descernable. The brass depth stop has identifying scratch marks on it. (see photo) Overall, it is a beautiful plane with some very minor nicks and some loss of japanning. See photos for plane and parts.
