I have been cutting Opal since 1986, and been here at The Ridge since 1992. Scale is millimetres, not inches! The Photos are close ups, and larger than in real life. Please compare with the scale in photos for actual size. I photographed this using mostly indirect daylight and photo flash indoors- for sure they will look better in full sun! I am not selling worthless offcuts and "unsearched mine run"- this is rough opal for cutters. It has sand, potch, and other non gem material normally associated with rough Opal. It may have cracks, sand inclusions and other defects- normal for rough Opal. Lapidarists constantly request material just as we see it here on the field. This is it!
