The KD27 lamp was designed to be modular, allowing a consumer to stack these atop each other. The lamp features a white lozenge-like PMMA diffuser suspended within a cylindrical ABS form. The KD27 has always been difficult to find in the US. While the KD27 was designed in 1967, production did not begin on the chromed example here until 1972 making it scarcer than the other colors. Production for this design ceased in 1981. This piece is from retromodern's vintage archives. Only one piece in chrome is available here and it is in excellent vintage condition with minor use/wear that is not objectionable.
