( Kinshi Kunsho). May be gold plated, but I'm not sure. I purchased the piece 25 years ago at auction and it has not tarnished at all. The Order has no cracks or chips to the enamel. It is cased in a pine box with a blue velour interior base with Japanese characters on the lid.( see pic. 4.). The box has a very narrow stable crack in the lid. I can be seen in the pic as well. There are also Japanese characters on the reverse of the Order.( see pic. 2.)
