Probably circa 1850's. It measures 3 1/4" by 2 3/4" wide. It comes with one half of a leather covered dag case which is embossed with a rose design. This daguerreotype is cut from a stereo dag and is half of the original stereo dag. It is probably French in origin. On the back there is black masking tape that has been used to seal it.We guarantee this item to be original & authentic in all respects.
