This is not a thin or flimsy compact but very well made, yes, these cards are stacked! Outling the Cards are Clear Swarovski Crystals and each card has Red Crystals outlined by Gold Hearts. As well as the Red Swarovksi Crystals, the King, Queen and Jack have intricate enamel work! The creamy marbelized enamel work is also very pretty, gives it that shine. One does not need a "stand" to display this compact as it stands up by itself.
