Description
EXCELLENT  HERMANN H. HEISER SADDLE NUMBER 1418 This super nice Hermann H. Heiser stamped saddle has never had repairs nor does it need any, saddle is double rigged  and has the front cinch and leather rear cinch. This is Heiser's number 1418 (the Heiser Master fits 'em) has extremely nice fine waffle stamped design, still has all 3...excellent...very clear Heiser stamps, also has the metal Heiser nameplate on back of the cantle which is a very high 5" cantle, the seat is 15 inches, measured properly from the bottom base of the horn back to the top inside of the cantle. Still has all 6 conchos, the saddle strings were replaced a long time ago and are in excellent condition. The saddle blanket is a very nice Heiser- Keyston blanket , the No. 10- Lindsay Blanket Pin is still with the blanket. Just a little information: the new owner may like to know...is this very popular Heiser saddle was popular in the 30s and early 40s. Heiser numbered this saddle 1418 in 1942 ...during the 30s and prior to 1942 the saddle was number 418. The saddle has its very very rare Heiser stamped solid aluminum oxbow stirrups with 3" neck. these are number 216 as shown in the catalogs. A plus for this great saddle is the original leather covered stirrups, having 2 original pair of stirrups is a big plus! The rope strap still has the original sterling silver buckle set and includes the loop and tip. The rope shown in the photos goes with this saddle. The fleece is in great shape and also is very clean. There is a super nice Heiser bridle with the original Crockett stamped bit and the original riding breast collar with matching fine waffle stamp ...same as saddle. A great bonus ..the new owner will get is an excellent unused fine waffle stamped bridle set that was purchased in the 60s to match this great and complete saddle. This set was never used as this saddle has not been on a horse since that time. The bridle set is complete with matching riding martingale. The reins and curb strap are waffle stamped also. There is a nice lead strap with chain end. The saddle was purchased in late Dec.1942, the Heiser Catalog number 37, which was the 85th Anniversary 1943, came with the saddle when it was purchased. The new owner will get this catalog which is in very very nice condition and still has the leather piece in the corner for hanging on saddle. Making this saddle complete is extra large Heiser stamped number 817 saddle bags, these bags are designed to be fastened to the saddle permanently under the middle conchos or be tied on for quick removal, one of the straps on the bags has had a short piece of the end chewed off. Still plenty long to buckle, easy replacement as each strap is attached by one rivet. There is a can of Fiebing's Saddle Soap in the bags. The lid is stuck, I didn't want to damage the can so I didn't try to pry open. Bid with confidence as there is nothing negative about this saddle or items listed with this saddle except the bag strap as mentioned earlier. There will be no shipping charges for the new owner. The high bid is what you pay and will get 2-3 day shipping. Saddle will ship same day payment by Paypal . Please check sellers other items. Powered by eBay Turbo ListerThe free listing tool.
