Description
This auction is for a Edison Model "A" Fireside 2/4 Minute combination machine with an original Cygnet #10 Horn & original cygnet crane support.   This machine has a very nice tiger oak case, the lid still retain the original clips.   The bedplate on this little beauty has a very nice 2/4 minute decal with about 80 to 85% of the stencilling intact.   The serial # is 44087.   The 2/4 minute gearing works very good with a good running motor.   This has a 2/4 minute original "K" reproducer, but unfortunily somewhere along the way it has been damaged.   The block hinge & mica need to be replaced along with the wire to the mica.   The # 10 cygnet has a almost dent free bell with nice original black paint & decals but someone removed the hanging ball (with no damage to the area or unit).   The goose neck has a couple small dents but not bad, but does have a crease on each side of the neck but is not out of round & when the cygnet is together you can hardily notice the creases.   The original crane is very nice but DOES NOT have a hanger but is the correct size for this unit.     Overall this is a terrific, clean Fireside & with just a little work will be a centerpiece of your collection. Shipping will be determined by zip code & insurance is required this item will be shipped in 2 boxes to prevent damage.    Please check out our other auctions on both wax cylinders, blue amberol & other items of interest.   Thank you for looking, enjoy bidding & have a great day.
