Over the years the photo has loosened from the mat, which can be professionally fixed. The photo measures 8" x 10" and the frame is 17" by 16" We aren't really sure what it's worth but we assume it to be unique in some way since it was chosen by Walt Disney Productions to be given to my mother as an award for winning a national high school photography contest in 1965. As a vivid memory in my mother’s formative years, it has sentimental value for her so we are starting the auction at $2500. If it doesn't sell she will be happy keeping it. One thing we are sure of is that this is a piece of history in her own life and as part of American culture as a whole.
