Description
*Please read full description before placing your bid* Another stunning radio to consider for your art deco home display, office credenza;  a perfect unique gift for that special someone!!!  Offered for your consideration is an cute little deco Fada #711 "Dip-Top" marbleized alabaster Catalin Tube Radio  made circa 1946.  Pristine condition having no cracks, chips, nicks, dings, scratches,  or repairs.   There is a mild heat mark on the cabinet as shown in the pictures, a normal consequence from everyday use.   John Sideli in his book “The last in the Fada line of Catalin models.  Prime examples are pretty scarce.”  The red polystyrene marbleized knobs and handle are factory original and have no damage.  The fiberboard back and chassis are also very clean.  The chassis is clean and complete and currently playing well, I was able to pick up 3-4 stations.   If you are looking for a handsome addition to your collection, please consider this beauty or one of three dozen other choice condition catalin radios I have listed.   I am also listing many art deco bakelite and chrome clocks and barometers from a recent collection I purchased.  There is something for everyone in all price ranges, so be sure to bookmark my eBay store.   Please email me with any questions. Be sure to view my other auctions as most are offered with no reserve and you can make offers. PLEASE VIEW MY OTHER AUCTIONS FOR MORE ART DECO BAKELITE AND CATALIN MID CENTURY VINTAGE VACUUM TUBE RADIOS, FACTORY ORIGINAL PARTS AND QUALITY REPRODUCTION PARTS FOR MANY OLD RADIOS. BID WITH CONFIDENCE, BECAUSE YOUR SATISFACTION IS GUARANTEED! COMMENT- Please read the entire description and view the pictures. This will help you fully understand the item you are bidding on.   MAKE- Fada   MODEL- #711, "Dip-Top   YEAR- 1946   CASE MATERIAL- Catalin, the Gem of Plastics   SIZE- 9 3/4” W x  5 3/4” H x 4 7/8” D   CONDITION- This radio is in excellent condition containing no cracks, chips, nicks, dings, deep scratches, or repairs, now or in the past. The red marbleized knobs and handle are factory original in excellent condition.   The grill screen appears to have been professionally re-flocked at one time.  The cabinet has been hand refinished/polished to display the color as when sold new nearly 65 years ago.  No machine sanding, this was done entirely by hand.  This radio is ready to be displayed, played, and enjoyed.    No cosmetic restoration/repair was necessary.   CHASSIS/PLAYING CONDITION-The chassis is clean, complete, and I was able to pick up 3-4 stations that were clear. As a reminder, these vintage catalin radios are not recommended for everyday use, nor should they be played for extended periods of time as that could cause tube burns to the cabinet.   BID WITH CONFIDENCE AS ALL ITEMS ARE GUARANTEED TO BE AS DESCRIBED.
