Description Betjemanns Tantalus Triple Liquor Caddy, Tiffany & Co.    "The Tantalus"  Liquor Caddy Made by Betjemann's of London sold by Tiffany's & Co. This exquisite antique must be seen to be believed.  Simply Beautiful!   Definitely a plus for anyone's bar or home.  Made approximately 100 years ago by Betjemann's of London, "The Tantalus" liquor caddy was sold through Tiffany's & Co.  (The Tiffany label is attached to the wood case.) The gorgeous wood caddy is made of tiger maple or similar, with a locking metal handle over the top., which bears the maker's marks. (See photos) There is no key however the handle opens and closes easliy. Three cut crystal decanters are fitted to the caddy.  The cuts and design in the crystal are magnificent...they simply sparkle.   Overall dimensions: 16" long x 6" deep x 12" high with handle locked.  Decanters: 4" x 4" x 9 ½" high with stoppers.  Overall condition:  Good to very good.  There is significant silver loss on handle and tarnish and wear to finish on the brass corner decorations on caddy.  The wood is in good condition, no cracks or damage to joints and the finish appears original and in good condition. Decanters are in very good condition, no chips or cracks.       Shipping We pass shipping costs, including insurance costs straight through to our buyers.  A packaging and handling (s&h) fee is included to cover the cost of materials and labor.  Fees start at $.50 for envelopes and $2.00 for small boxes.  Most s&h fees do not exceed $6.00 except for very large or heavy items requiring additional packaging and labor.
