Original wire and perfectly matching glass lid. All shine and sparkle with standout bubbles and circumscribed with whittle marks the size of finger prints. During the GL Sept. 26 2004 auction, a Mildura quart sold on eBay for around $700. In January 2008, another one sold on eBay for over $1,400.Simply perfect! Cleaned professionally. Not a mark on it except for barely noticeable wear on the base. The ground lip is as good as they get: not even the slightest bit flaked or chipped. The dimples, too, are in pristine condition: no damage around the holes and no marks at the bottom of the holes from the wire. The wire is rusted and lightly pitted but isn’t misshaped and locks and unlocks easily. The lid is near perfect, the only issues being a small 1-2 mm mark on the top edge and tiny nicks off the inside ledge underneath. Other than that, it, like the jar, is in perfect condition – not even marked on the knobs on top. BEST example of this rare jar. A sparkling beauty in every regard in the best possible condition.
