See more about '30s art deco ronson touchtip lighter cigarette box set' Description offered is a fabulous 1930's art deco machine age ronson automatic touchtip lighter cigarette box set. the chrome plated lighter features a black lacquer finish and ivory lacquer removable lids. the underside has 4 wonderful deco airflow legs. the touchtip box set which comes in a few colorways and finishes is featured in the ronson book as figure 188 with a value of $300-500. the ronson touchtip mechanism was first invented in 1934 by louis v aronson - considered the most important lighter inventor of the 20th century. the ronson measures 3-5/8" tall x 8" wide and is in very good lite used condition. the mechanism moves correctly and should work with proper service of fuel.and flint. there is some lite typical crazing on the ivory lids that is found on almost every ronson ivory finish. there is a tiny corner edge dent on one lid that can easily be corrected. i've seen other similar tt combinations and this is a very fine example. the lighter will clean to look better. overall - an important vintage 1930's art deco enamel ronson touchtip table lighter for your collection. the photos are reflective and the ronson looks better in person with rich chrome coloring. insurance included in usa ship.-overseas is registered first class and ship to italy is express mail only at $48.
