See more about '30s art deco modernistic sterling enamel cigarette case' Description offered is a fabulous and rare early 1930's art deco 2 color hard glass enamel sterling silver cigarette case. the case features a red and blue modernistic deco square within square enamel design on both sides. the inside rim reads 935 sterling germany and the interior has a gold wash finish. the case was definitely made by the workshop of louis kuppenheim. kuppenheim was one of the most important german enamel workshops and manufactured most of the dunhill enamel lighters of the late 1920's and early 1930's. he is prominently featured in the must buy bottoni dunhill lighter book. kuppenheim also produced for other luxury retailors with this case being unsigned by him. the high quality case is quite heavy and all original. the case measures 3-3/16" wide x 2-1/4" tall and is in very good used condition. the front and back do show some use and there are 3 small chips along the side edges only which do not go thru to silver. the deco cigarette case is very showy with strong coloring. the mid red and blue colorway squares are rare to find and truly modern in design. the silver has a wonderful rich vintage age patina. if desired - the case will sparkle with polish. if you appreciate original deco enamel sterling silver cases-you will love this kuppenheim case. one of the nicest sterling modernistic deco cases ever offered on ebay. overall - a fantastic case for your collection or as holiday gift to very special person. photos of edge with small chips available upon request. insurance included in us ship cost-overseas registered first class airmail. ship to italy via registered or express mail only.
