Many years later a car accident left her disabled and ended her career as a commercial artist. At the age of 40, L A went back to school to follow her dreams and true passion for Fine Art & Design. She earned her Associates Degree in Fine Arts from her local community college, and was then accepted as an Ada Comstock Scholar at the prestigious ivy league Smith College in Northampton, MA where she studied for her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Studio Art. L A also studied jewelry design at the equally esteemed Rhode Island School of Design. L A graduated at the very top of a 1,600 student graduating class with a 4.20 GPA, Honors Program (completed 4 additional self-designed complex Honors Projects within her enrolled art classes), Phi Theta Kappa, Dean's List, and Highest Honors.
