ilovetoyz323 Store 1965 Vintage Bonanza TV Show Metal Lunchbox VERY NICE! Normal 0 Normal 0 YEAR: 1965 (43 YEARS OLD) MANUFACTURED BY: Aladdin Industries, Inc. RARITY: Rarity is a 8, a bit hard to find. But even harder to find in displayable condition. CONDITION: This is a 1965 Vintage Bonanza TV Show Metal Lunchbox produced by Aladdin Industries, Inc. It is very hard to find this box in ANY CONDITION!!! It is even more hard to find in this great of condition!!! Most of the few still around and rusted, scratched and dinged to death. But not this baby. If you follow any of our auctions, you will see we only deal with vintage toys in very good to mint condition. And this lunchbox is no exception. The handle and latch are still in working condition. The interior has some ware but only in a very few areas. The lithograph artwork is bright, crisp, clean and shinny. A great addition to your vintage lunchbox collection!!! I rarely buy this vintage lunchbox because the majority of them have major condition issues. This one is an exception and a great find for serious collectors. Original purchase sticker still on the side. If you want to remove it, I will email your safe instructions on how to remove it without damaging it. PAYMENT: Payment due within 7 days of auction's end unless prior arrangements are made. We reserve the right to cancel or re-list any unpaid items at the end of this 7 day period. We accept Paypal, Money Orders, or Cashier checks. SHIPPING: Shipping and Handling is $10.00... delivery conformation included. For International S&H, please e-mail us. INSURANCE: Insurance is available for an additional $1.50 per hundred if desired. Insurance required on all sales over $40. LUNCHBOX HISTORY: The first metal lunchbox produced was the Hopalong Cassidy created by the Aladdin Company of Nashville in 1950. They made a blue and red lunchbox with a four-inch decal on the front side. Their second lunch box design was the decaled Tom Corbett Space Cadet box made in 1952. The American Thermos Company introduced the first lithographed lunchbox in 1953, it had a Roy Rogers design. The Aladdin company then changed their lunchboxes to being fully lithographed instead of using decals, in 1954. Metal lunchboxes were banned in the early 1970s, as a result of a campaign of "concerned" Florida mothers against the steel lunchboxes. Children being children, were using the metal lunchboxes to wrestle each other with. The state of Florida banned metal lunchboxes in 1972, and other states soon followed in the banning. Box makers switched from metal boxes to softer plastic boxes. The last steel metal lunchbox was a Slyvester Stalone's Rambo model, produced by KST in 1985. But now that the baby boomers are coming into power, savvy manufacturers are following right behind them. Hence a new generation of lunchboxes are coming into being. Everything from Rock Stars to TV shows, from Sci-Fi Movies to Lord Of The Rings, lunchboxes are back. And the kids of the baby boomers are just as infatuated with lunchboxes as their parents. Lunchboxes are simply cool. Save on shipping costs ~ visit my other auctions. Please feel free to email me with any questions. Thanks for looking & happy ebay hunting.
