Friction drive wheels, folding legs, a good likeness to the Gerry Anderson TV machine. It has suffered a lot of damage through the years, the tail section has been broken in several places and reattached, leaving cracks, one of the legs is missing, although it still stands OK on three, this leg mounting is damaged, and there is wear and scuffing to the decals and plastic surface. This amazing collection was found in my friends attic when he came to clear the house after his mother died. Lying forgotten was every childhood toy and book he had been given during the 1960s and early 1970s. What makes this collection special is, that as the only child of an engineer, he was given some truly fabulous toys. I grew up in the 60s, but I only dreamt of such toys, or studied them from afar through the toyshop window. The other is that Simon was generally very careful with his toys, so many retain the original boxes and accessories so often discarded on Boxing Day. My jaw dropped when I saw them piled up, filling a whole room. From now until Christmas the whole lot will be ebayed with no reserves. Keep watching my sales, there will be new treasures every week.
