It features handsome model Gene LICKA in a beautiful outdoor pose. Other outdoor image of Licka appears in David Chapman's book Mountain Men: The Male Photography of Don Whitman. This print was produced by Whitman in the 1960s. Whitman's Western Photography Guild images are some of the most photographically beautiful and collectible nude male images of the mid-20th Century. The deep, clear sky of the American West played as much of a starring role in Don Whitman's photographs as did his male models. One could almost hear the music of Aaron Copland swelling in the background as the hunky giants wrestled and danced along the ridges of the Rockies. This 4-by-5-inch vintage photograph is expertly printed on heavy satin-finished stock and is in excellent condition. Quality and clarity are excellent.
