Description
An amazing section of a mechanical sign device from a New York terminal---probably Grand Central Station---announcing arrivals for --THE MAYFLOWER----BAR HARBOR EXPRESS----STATE OF MAINE EXPRESS---THE PURITAN.Purchased at an auction by my father over 50 years ago and left to me,It's made of heavy black iol cloth with raised painted white letters. The condition of the lettering shows some aging and obvious wear , but it just adds to it's magical appearance. It measures 3 feet high by 30 inches wide.Ican be rolled up for delivrery.A GREAT PIECE OF RAILROAD HISTORY!
