Description
In December 1949, 14 year old Elvis Presley signed a Girl Scout Holly Ball dance card. This is either the 2nd or 3rd oldest known "complete" Elvis signature. The dance card, which has 1949 Holly Ball dance on it, also contains the pencil Elvis used to sign it. Comes with notarized signed affidavit of authority by the woman who had a dance with 14 year old Elvis in 1949, and has kept the dance card in her scrapbook until now. This is being sold by the original owner, for whom I am the broker. The Academy of Manuscript and Autograph passed a quick judgement on it, stating it is quite possibly the signature of Elvis. This is extremely rare. It is the real deal. Along with the notarized signed affidavit of authority, it also comes with a video documentary interview of the woman who danced with Elvis Presley in 1949, telling her story of the event. At that time she had no idea who the 14 year old boy that asked her to dance was. She kept her dance card and placed it in a scrap book as a memory of the girl scout dance itself, not realizing that one of the boys who asked her to dance would later become the king of rock & roll.     This December 1949 signature, which is now being auctioned for the first time ever, is the second oldest Elvis Presley signature that has not been written over another signature, i.e. the 1948 Elvis' parents'marriage certificate, otherwise it is the third oldest known signature of Elvis Presley. Knowledge of it's existence has just now surfaced with this Ebay listing. If it does not sell with this listing, it may once again be unavailable for an indefinite period of time. This signature is a true historical treasure of exceptional rarity. Less than seven contemporary Elvis signatures even exist, according to the Academy of Manuscript and Autograph.      With today's bank interest rates being so low, this should be considered a very practical investment opportunity for anyone. It will likely greatly increase in value in but a few short years!
