The offering in this listing features quite an unusual collectable, a sterling silver model car, weighing in at 1230 grams of solid silver. Length is 8 3/4 inches, and there is quite a lot of detail throughout this artifact. The two doors, hood, and trunk open, revealing the motor, the seats and interior, and the spare tire. Everything is silver, including the wheels and tires.  The under carriage even has a certain amount of detail. I couldn't imagine the kind of work it would take to make such an item, or how much time.   Purchased at the Marin flea market back in the mid 1990s, it has remained in my collection all these years. There is no trademark or signature on the model, only the rear license plate, saying Lincoln, then 1949 under it.
