Both of these pieces are in near perfect condition.  They are usually found rusted out because someone stored it away, but not in this case. Someone has taken care of it for years. It works smooth with a penny as it should. It has no major scratches, no dents and no pitting like found on nearly all chromed steel bases. This model has the original brass name plate (not the newer aluminum plate) with the original black paint still on it. It's not all buffed out or scratched up! The globe is the original one with no chips or cracks. It is slightly smaller than the later model machines. The decal is the fired on painted type, in very good + cond. This is one of the first model machines they started using fired on decals on. The lock is an original Corbin padlock with key (works perfect). This locking system is the original type used on this age machine. Ford used Corbin locks on their machines for years.  The words FORD GUM are not stamped into the steel on each side of the gum spout. That was done on later machines. The spout is slightly shorter and more rounded unlike newer machines. I have used this model for peanut M&M's and it worked great.
